Vision and the Reality

VISION/OUTCOME

Teach and mentor 259 students and their homes for excellence in academics, co-curricular, back home project, entrepreneurship and leadership to development by 12th Dec 2022

In order to achieve my vision i must follow the following steps

5. All URDT Websites Updated

4. Teach 85 Computer studies and sub-ICT lessons  

3. Install internet to all classes 

2. Install Computers/Internet in the Library 

1. Install Computer Laboratory

CURRENT REALITY

  1. Ø  Text books available 
  2. Ø  Internet and networked computers available in Computer Laboratory well equipped
  3. Ø  scheme of work available
  4. Ø  Have softcopy notes both O level and A level
  5. Ø  UNEB papers and guides (2013-2018) soft copy available
  6. Ø  I know the syllabus coverage
  7. Ø  Education website available
  8. E-learning system available

















But due to poor netwok at home students canot connect online

also some times students fail to connect due to low battery

 I am a professional teacher of Mathematics and Economics. There have been changes in technologies since I joined school in 1999.  The first classroom I entered had only a chalk board and a few seats. This didn't change through out until I joined University in 2013 At University, I hand my small button phone and we were introduced to computer but we hard nothing to do with computers for we hard no knowledge about it. Time went on when we got computers and projectors in our lecture rooms We were also introduced blended learning where we would interact with our lecturers both physically and virtually. This mostly helped students who had smart phones and laptops. DESCRIPANCT BETWEEN VISION AND CURRENT REALITY

     The vision for e-learning is different from the reality in that my vision for e-learning is all students from primary to university use e-learning technology like computer, tabs and laptop and also use those same e-learning gadgets while at work. My current reality is there is access to some e-learning gadgets like computer, laptop, projector and tablets for learners. Opportunity available to reduce the gap from current towards vision is that all students in the school have tablets and they can access internet so lessons can be conducted online.
