Day 1 - Writing your self introduction


Good afternoon!

Please compose an introduction of yourself (with a photo!) that tells us a little bit about yourself, including when you became a teacher and how you like to teach. You can read my introduction as an example. 

Please especially include references to the sort of technology you use in your teaching. I am very interested to learn how you are using technology already,

    My name is Isingoma Sadayo Max, Iam a public health specialist and i lecture at African Rural University main campus in Kagadi Town.
    Iam 32 years and i was born in Ruteete trading centre.
    Iam passionate at Human health and this is what i teach at the university.
    I love watching and supporting football and in this case iam a serious Manchester United fan who can even go crying whenever we lose!!!!!

 I am a professional teacher of Mathematics and Economics. There have been changes in technologies since I joined school in 1999.  The first classroom I entered had only a chalk board and a few seats. This didn't change through out until I joined University in 2013 At University, I hand my small button phone and we were introduced to computer but we hard nothing to do with computers for we hard no knowledge about it. Time went on when we got computers and projectors in our lecture rooms We were also introduced blended learning where we would interact with our lecturers both physically and virtually. This mostly helped students who had smart phones and laptops. DESCRIPANCT BETWEEN VISION AND CURRENT REALITY

     The vision for e-learning is different from the reality in that my vision for e-learning is all students from primary to university use e-learning technology like computer, tabs and laptop and also use those same e-learning gadgets while at work. My current reality is there is access to some e-learning gadgets like computer, laptop, projector and tablets for learners. Opportunity available to reduce the gap from current towards vision is that all students in the school have tablets and they can access internet so lessons can be conducted online.
