about irene ayesiga

 am Ayesiga Irene teacher of art and design at URDT GIRLS SCHOOL,i finished primary level in 1999 at st Charles lwanga primary school,ordinary level in 2004 at makerere competent,A level in 2006 at peremier and was trained in Art and design at National Teachers Collage Unyama Gulu for two years in 2009 and 2010. 

The first technology i used was phone and i did not use any technology in all schools i attended to but currently i use technology in teaching,searching information and communicating. 

Technology is good for me because makes teaching,communicating and  access information is easy.

 I am a professional teacher of Mathematics and Economics. There have been changes in technologies since I joined school in 1999.  The first classroom I entered had only a chalk board and a few seats. This didn't change through out until I joined University in 2013 At University, I hand my small button phone and we were introduced to computer but we hard nothing to do with computers for we hard no knowledge about it. Time went on when we got computers and projectors in our lecture rooms We were also introduced blended learning where we would interact with our lecturers both physically and virtually. This mostly helped students who had smart phones and laptops. DESCRIPANCT BETWEEN VISION AND CURRENT REALITY

     The vision for e-learning is different from the reality in that my vision for e-learning is all students from primary to university use e-learning technology like computer, tabs and laptop and also use those same e-learning gadgets while at work. My current reality is there is access to some e-learning gadgets like computer, laptop, projector and tablets for learners. Opportunity available to reduce the gap from current towards vision is that all students in the school have tablets and they can access internet so lessons can be conducted online.
